GM RIM

Postby westside » Wed Feb 05, 2020 3:41 pm

On Feb. 3rd got a email about bulletin# GCUS-9-9001. It said, wiped out after the holidays... no way! wipers are back!!. So today they were on my RIM proposals., I picked one # 19388170 said it fits a 2011-13 impala looked it up this # is for the RH side... hmmmm they must have thought we shouldn't stock the LH side. I also looked at the application guide picked the 2005-1993 Astro van, in the parts catalog 19388164 isn't listed says to use 19388167 which isn't on the proposals or the bulletin. I'm going to temporarily exclude them.. I should not have to.. or let us store them for GM for 15 months... thanks GM

You picked a good example with the 2011-2013 impala wiper blade. I stock the OEM ones, 23367644 for the RH side costs 8.37, the Delco costs 10.99. I have said this to some of my previous DM's, if GM would just drop the price on the OE line, they wouldn't need so many Delco lines.

That would go against their "Good, Better, Best" pricing strategy.

I don't stock parts that have absolutely zero sales or demand.

Same here. I carry all the AC DELCO Advantage wipers. Why would I need more of the same thing?

You must be old enough to remember when the PARTS MANAGER made the call on what parts to put in
stock and not some f*cking algorithm!
