Inspection stickers

In the past, we would apply all inspection sticker costs to the shop expense account and then it would be relieved via op-code on each RO. They now changed that to dumping all the stickers into our parts inventory but they still want to relieve them via the op-code, so they are not shown as OH or billed out by parts but do need to be reconciled for inventory monthly. You can imagine the headache. Does anyone else’s parts dept handle stickers?

We used to handle the Sonsio tire "stickers."

Don't know your DMS but you could surely work out something along the lines of a special source that would relieve the correct account and allow you to bill the stickers. This would give you an on-hand to track.

God I don't miss Inspection stickers!! Last dealership I was at that had stickers didn't really inventory them, they were billed out with the labor op. They should be handled by service, in my opinion. They are the ones collecting the money let them handle the stickers!
