I just read there is a change to the GM warranty retention period beginning March 16th it will go from 15 days to 7 days.
Now if GM could just send a warranty parts scrap list once a week.
We have a Hyundai franchise also and they send us one every 2 weeks.

But then they couldn't debit you if they told you to throw it out.

Is this after the claim is paid or the return window?

It should be after the claim is paid.

We just went through a warranty audit about a month ago. The guy who did the audit told me that it was going to be changed sometime this year from the 15 days to 7.

Hell they charged us back from a part returned in 2014 they could not find. Luckily our shipping guy is really anal and saves everything and still had proof we returned it.

Seems like another GM trap. Hoping your trash the part then they ask for the part back.

Went to order more warranty tags yesterday. NOPE! They have been removed from the 1store. We are thrilled to have to come up with a new way and are guessing we will just have to write the repair order number down on the part itself.
