Okay, so we ordered a steering gear on September 5th and just received it today, March 10th.
Our counter man called the wholesale customer and miraculously, they still want it. The problem is we called the gut before looking closely at the packing slip. GM changed the part number from: 22777702 cost- $474.98 to 19419353 cost- $926.68 a difference of $451.70. WTF are we supposed to do now??!?!!???

Tell the customer what you just typed here. Just tell them the truth
Not much you can do when GM bends you over like that

I had this happen to me in the past, and the customer refused the part at the higher price. I contacted our DSPM and he was able to get us the cost difference back between the old part
number and the new one, based on the timeline that it was ordered and received. It took a while to get the credit but I did, and was able to sell the customer the part at the original quoted price.

I would first call GM pricing and get your DM involved. Inform the customer what happened and what your doing to correct the problem. If they back out, then sell that thing on Sprint.
