What parts to add for new model year

Somewhat new parts manager here. Back in the paper book days when a new model year came out, we would search through the pages for common items ie: wipers, filters, plugs etc.
How do others accomplish this now? Are you looking through the GM EPC of each model at filters, wipers etc or is there a list buried in GM Global of suggested parts? I could see one spending hours flipping through the EPC.

When we went to a computer catalog in the late 80's they were plugged into a dedicated electrical outlet. Little did we know the outlets were surge protected, hell the electrician came in, added them with pretty orange receptacles and said nothing. We always had a fan going at the counter, plugged it in, zap, all monitors went dead. Opps.

Thanks Alan

If you right click somewhere on the line ( not on the underlined part of it) then go down to where used-all catalogs it will show what other catalogs have that number in it.

I know your trying to get ahead of the curve but if your DMS is set up correctly let that guide you. especially if your a GM dealer RIM will try and push enough crap in your door

Yes, that is exactly what we do. With each new model, or each new engine debut. It is not bad since there are not many new models/engines every year.
