does anyone else charge for obtaining key codes and cutting keys?

North Central MN we currently we charge $15 for standard key and $25 on a side mill.

I'm thinking of raising our "dumazz" fee.

We normally charge $35.00 for getting the code and cutting the key. Northeast Pennsylvania GM dealer here.

We are in the Chicago metro area. We charge $75.00 to cut a key by code. We require the title and a valid Illinois driver's license. If the customer is making payments, we have them contact their lean company and have them fax the title to us. In 2019 we made just under $12,000.00 in key code charges.

KENTUCKY:
We charge 30 to look up codes plus the price for the key.

$50 to get the code + whatever the price of the key is and programming on non laser cut keys.

We don't have a laser cutter so we charge $100 for a laser cut key ordered from the factory and we program it for them in parts provided they have an original key.

North Carolina

$25 for code,$35 laser cut(average $500 month cuts)

25 for code and 20 to cut per key

NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
$50.00 for obtaining key codes

50.00 to obtain key codes, we cut our keys for free, if they provide key it is 30.00

Northern Tier Of Upstate NY here.... we charge $10. for a regular key - $20 for a security key - $30 to look up codes - we do not cut anyone else's key but ours (no exceptions)
