5-27 UPDATE

5-27 UPDATE

Postby CADLOU » Wed May 27, 2020 12:01 pm

So they started this May 25, yet I am just now getting a notice?
Effective May 25:
• Overnight (OVN) service levels at Ypsilanti (facility 087) have been downgraded to two-day
o This action was taken to allow us to take advantage of available carrier capacity, particularly with FedEx
• Certain unprocessed RIM-generated Daily Replenishment Orders (DRO) at Willow Run (facility 058) have been cancelled
o This action was taken on RIM DROs which would have increased a Dealership's on-hand stock above the RIM approved stocking level
o Affected Dealerships received an answerback in Parts Workbench stating “CANCELED BY PLANT"
o This action helps eliminate overstocking due to material that may have been procured using an alternate method
o We may implement this action as required throughout the crisis to minimize over shipping of RIM DRO orders that are no longer required to meet the Dealership's current stocking needs
• Certain Daily Replenishment Orders (DRO) at Willow Run (facility 058) have been manually moved to the Admin PDC
o Affected Dealerships received an initial answerback in Parts Workbench stating “BACKORDERED BY PLANT"
o Affected Dealerships will receive subsequent answerbacks in Parts Workbench depending on the order status
o This action helps us ship the most orders in the shortest timeframe possible
• Certain Customer Special Orders (CSO) at Willow Run (facility 058) have been manually moved to walk the national referral chain
o Affected Dealerships received an initial answerback in Parts Workbench stating “BACKORDERED BY PLANT"
o Affected Dealerships will receive subsequent answerbacks in Parts Workbench depending on the order status
o This action helps us ship the most orders in the shortest timeframe possible
