Except for Cadillac stores. 63's are our main filter. But I only use the 63E, 12690385 and not had a problem. Yet.

I understand that there are other numbers to use, and I even have some of the 63E's here, but I hate the thought of giving up $1.03 profit for every oil change that we do with one of our most popular filters. Especially when it's due to what can only be described as incompetence on GM's part.

63's are pretty popular here in Silverado country as well.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like the WD's are going to get some extra business. Then again, they have how many different part number 63 filters. Makes a lot of sense to me.

They just need to stop it. There is no reason to have so man 63 numbers. Stop with the bbb bullshit and make one good one and move on. You going to tell me that the average person really cares about which filter they use? Most just want the less expensive priced oil change they can get.Don't get me wrong, I have had people that are picky but if you make things that is top quality and only have one that cancels out their arguments. I am ranting but GM and Delco makes this harder than it should. If they update the filter then get rid of the old ones. I know they want to compete with aftermarket parts, which is fine, but they expect us to be more geared to an aftermarket jobber and we are not really set up that way. That is if your a small dealer like us and you have two mega parts dealers, that can afford to buy in bulk. If I bought these air filters they want you to buy, these next few months, I wouldn't need a filter for 6 months or a year depending on what I bought. I do not see that 2 to 5 percent as a real incentive. Especially, the hits we take on parts loyalty! okay I am done, lol.

Wish it was 10% return and 10% discount. I'm going to do the order, just not sure at what level yet..... I remember the good old days when you could choose between all discount, all return or a mix of the 2....

When I said it wasn't a popular filter, I was being just a little sarcastic. As with PartScott, I use all durapack filters to make that extra $$ on each transaction. No reason not to. Well now there is a reason, you can't get them!! HA
