DRO DAILY CUSTOMER ORDER?

Anybody doing their daily customer order as a DRO. With the CSO orders that aren't in your local not being upgraded to CSO-3's any more, my thought was flip your daily orders to DRO and collect more accrual? You'll see more orders go back order but then you could upgrade to a CSO and it would be referred to another PDC.
Pro's / Con's or thoughts on the subject?

I have kicked that idea around only problem is you have to really stay on top of the back orders and make sure none fall through the cracks and the only way to return the parts would be with your return reserve seems like alot of extra work for the 1% GM gives you on DRO'S i just put spac cases on the CSO'S that don't refer to another depo and wait it out

It is my understanding, that any manual DRO's do not net you any reserve and they are not protected. Which means you will have to use your reserve to send them back. On the other, CSO's does get the 1% and can be sent back with a 35% restock charge or use your reserve. Only RIM generated DRO nets you the 1% and the reserve and protected.

Another con is that if your PDC is a little overwhelmed, DRO's get held and they will only ship CSO's.

The only time you ever want to use DRO is if you're not RIM or PASE compliant. If you fall out of PASE terms and your CSOs exceed 30% of your monthly purchases you get a 10% surcharge on all CSO orders. If you're non-PASE then a DRO would only cost you a 1% surcharge.

If you are PASE compliant DROs get you 0% return reserve but CSOs get you 1%.

So if you use the DRO you loose 1% and get second class shipping.

Sounds like a winner.

Do we really ever get anything from GM first class? Without paying a hefty premium.
