Parts Inventory Value

Parts Inventory Value

Postby dmelling » Sun Nov 08, 2020 2:21 pm

I am using Dealertrack, when I create a parts inventory report, there is a line that states "Parts on Open Repair Orders". When are these parts relieved from the inventory value, I assume when the RO is closed. My question is there a column that tells me which parts are on open RO's?

Thank you

Not on Dealer track but have done many physicals on it so I'm somewhat limited. If memory serves me, you can go into the REPORTS tab and then to PARTS ON OPEN RO's and get the info there.
I think on your INVENTORY ANALYSIS report next to the PARTS ON OPEN ROs there is a box you can check that will give you a parts listing in part# order but will not give the RO#.

Your inventory value will be reduced when the RO is closed in service.

Hope this helps!!

In the Transaction Analysis tile you will want to run the report called "unrealized sales". That will give you parts on open RO's.

Been on Dealertrack for approx 9 months. Was a Reynolds user for 20 years On Dealertrack..its live, and when a part is billed to an RO. Its not part of your physical. Its gone on an RO (wip.) When it closes, the GL balance is
relieved.
