I used it today, and it is slow, all it really eliminated is the need for the green and white core tags. you still have to go through the PC302 process which seems redundant to me being that you'll have movement visibility through the new app. Maybe I'm missing something, but as of right now it is just more work. Just another thought, but if GM didn't have core charges on parts they do not rebuild, the core process regardless of what it would be, wouldn't matter that much because you would eliminate 75% of the cores you have to return......

To answer your question about being able to access it, I did have to call the phone number provided in the GM email to have globalconnect turn on the application for my login.

submitted my first core return today... not bad, entering qty and part numbers is tricky or quirky.

I am going to try to enter my qty and part numbers in a spreadsheet and then copy and paste, that might speed things up for me.

Questions ??

1. Are the green "CORE RETURN" labels we get from the 1Store no longer used ??

2. The packing slip has no core value listed or summarized, which I used for both inventory and acct'g procedures. I put a request to add the values both as line item and a total.
Does anyone else use these values ??

did my first one today... just a little janky, be sure to use google chrome and NOT explorer. placed an order for more labels because I don't want to take the time to cut out each label and tape on each box <annoying>. also found them on avery site, but it doesn't give an item number.

I don't think the green tags are used anymore. I also used the core values on the old answerbacks for my month end. Would be nice if that feature was added on the new packing list.

Not exactly a time saver and no cost on the packing slips just adds another step only upside i have seen is it didn't take an hour to show up in the pc302 screen

just a word of warning... they have a known glitch of the packing slip not matching the labels printed. be sure to reconcile... Four labels printed, but the p/slip only shows three parts.

FYI, the offending part number on my fascia return was the 9065623. My first thought is that the leading zero is creating a "Y2K glitch" in their system.

- gt is speculating again...

1. the glitch is fixed already !!
2. the value of the cores have been added to the packing slips already !!
3. GMCCA should take note of their responsiveness !! (wishful thinking...)

how many of you return complete fascia cores??? I have been told that with the new core return center that "cut offs" will no longer be acceptable, it has to be a complete fascia core or what is left of the fascia after collision. been returning "cut offs" for the last 2 years because it was easier to process and pack them in a cage to return, which was nicer for my DLI driver not having to screw around with a stack of complete fascia cores.
