BEWARE WPC IS ON THE PROWL AGAIN ASKING FOR HAZMAT RELATED ITEMS.

I GET A EMAIL FROM MY DSM ON MONDAY STATING THAT ME AND 3 OTHER DEALERS HAZMAT CERTIFICATIONS EXPIRED IN FEBRUARY.
HE SENT THIS TO US IN FEBRUARY AS WELL. ALL 4 OF US DEALERS GOT CERTIFIED IN FEBRUARY. I EMAILED MY CERTIFICATIONS AND THEY REPLIED: " You are all set."

I sent back a fuel injector a couple of weeks ago to the WPC via Central Transport because it was Haz Mat and I still got a letter saying that I didn't return the part properly.

Not sure if they are just bored and need something to do or what the deal is over there but it is really ridiculous.

Did they say what you did wrong? If not I would request it from them. I always wrap fuel lines/ injectors in absorbent pads and seal in a plastic bag. Then packing around that. Also has to have proper 'Dangerous Goods in Apparatus' Label and sealed in a special Hazmat certified box. Lots of friggin bs.

Just a generic letter about the part being shipped back to the WPC incorrectly...Needs to be shipped HazMat to avoid fines etc.

I have shipped them back in the past the exact same way. The injector was in the original box and wrapped inside a box with the UN3263 label on the outside of the box and shipped Central Transport. The CT driver laughed that he was picking up a 1 lb. part since he is used to hauling skids. I said "This is the way GM wants it; it's haz mat..."

No matter what we do we can't win.

That is the GM way.
