How much markup for your employees?

How much markup for your employees?

Postby cain555 » Mon Jun 21, 2021 4:14 pm

Curious- I feel like many employees take advantage and buy parts at their discount of 10% over cost and then either re-sell them or buy them for friends or whatever. It's an honor system that they are for the employee or their immediate family but I don't have time to research who they are for exactly. Long story short, what percent do you charge your employees for parts and is it different for let's say a service tech vs a counter person?

Thanks!

15 percent across the board here, and it is for employees personal vehicles only, no relatives or friends.

PARTS EMPLOYEES 10% OVER
ALL OTHER EMPLOYEES 25% OVER
IF I KNOW ITS FOR THE EMPLOYEES CAR AND IT WILL HELP GET THEM BACK ON THE ROAD THEN I WILL DO 10% OVER

10% OVER COST.. It's one of the few benefits of working at a dealership. I don't ask if its for their car, family member or friend. Just remember 10% of something is always better than 100% of nothing

We are 10 over. I feel the same way. A customer is a customer, a sale is a sale in this day and age. I would rather there buddy or cousin by it from me then buy it from amazon!
