What is even funnier is that now the 55495105 is not eligible for sale according to what EPIC says. It's like that filter never even existed!

Come on GM, what gives?

So has anyone ordered the 19458922? There's no pf Delco number on this. Is it an aftermarket filter that they painted blue?!

THE BULLETIN STATES THAT IT IS A AFTERMARKET FILTER AND THAT WE SHOULD LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW THAT WE ARE PUTTING A AFTERMARKET FILTER. MY QUESTION IS WHY ARE AFTERMARKET FILTERS

GCUS-9-11766

Effective Date
September 2, 2021

Due to increases in demand in the past 6 months, the PF66 oil filter (GM# 55495105) is backordered.

In response to this increased demand, GM Engineering has approved GM# 19458922 as an alternative to the PF66 filter. GM# 19458922 will be available in a 12-pack for order effective Thursday, September 2. GM# 19458922 is an unbranded blue oil filter that will be shipped in a 12-pack box.

This filter will be available for United States and Canada dealerships only on a temporary basis.

GM# 19458922 is also approved to fill backorders on the PF66 oil filter until adequate inventory is available on PF66 and will be used on pending orders of the PF66 oil filter.

Use of this filter, as with any non-OE part, should be disclosed to the customer.

We will also continue to warranty the engines (subject to remaining warranty) that properly receives one of the following aftermarket filters on customer pay and warranty repairs through September 10, 2021:

SO WHY IS THIS FILTER LISTED UNDER THE OE SECTION?????????????

On the bottom of the " UNBRANDED" filter, the GM part# is printed on it.
As far as I'm concerned, that makes it A Genuine GM filter.
I'm not going to notify 100 customers a day that I'm putting a junk filter on their car.
GM can do it !!!!

just another glimpse into the future first the accessories have GM part numbers though all warranty issues contact the manufacturer soon all parts call the manufacturer for warranty not GM
