IF YOU GET OVERCHARGED BY A CERTAIN PDC, YOU CAN SAY THAT YOU USED THE FEDEX FREIGHT CALCULATOR, THAT USUALLY GETS YOU YOUR MONEY BACK.
WHICH MEANS THAT IT IS ACCURATE , BUT I HAVE NOTICED THAT IF THE CALCULATOR SAYS 12.78 SOMETIMES ONE OF THE PDCS CHARGES 12.84. I ALWAYS ROUND UP FOR QUOTES OF OVERNIGHT CHARGES

When you guys quote freight on a customer pay job, do you mark it up to get some more profit? Asking for a friend.

I AM PRETTY FAIR ESPECIALLY NOW THAT GM IS MESSED UP AND PARTS THAT WERE SUPPOSE TO SHOW UP IN A TIMELY MANNER NOW TAKE 5-14 DAYS.

FREIGHT 12.78 I MIGHT CHARGE 13-14
FREIGHT 18.25 I MIGHT CHARGE 20

NOT MUCH MORE OF A MARK UP.

IF A CUSTOMER CANT WAIT THE 5-14 DAYS I ALWAYS OFFER OVERNIGHT.

Since we haven't been able to get it overnight consistently we started calling it express ship. Just to save a few headaches.

Yes to reduce their expectations. Especially now as we get closer to the holiday period.

Unless it's for warranty, I always mark freight up. Usually $2-3
