so we have 4 of these currently on back order and GM will not manual sprint these because of size and weight, they are local delivery only.
Yet there is a dealership currently showing 142 of these in stock. GM feeding the big guys, or maybe it's a posting error....LOL

If they have that many I bet they sell online.
Check the price on their website and just order it there. It might be close to cost with free shipping.
I have done this a few times when other dealers won't sell direct to me.

If it's close enough, send a DX driver. Buy it with a company credit card, any extra expenses stick it to GM or let the customer pick up the tab. Regular LTL freight is still cheap, I have purchased/shipped transmissions cross country LTL for less than $200. GM is not going to sprint a transmission, they would rather pay excessive rental that costs more than freight. Extended warranty can be the same, they will bitch and moan about the extra freight cost yet will pay several days or weeks of rental.

Unfortunately it is the big powertrain dealers getting fed, we have had to buy these from a few other local guys and just charge the customer for the difference .

I agree. We have had Powertrain dealers call with " Hey I just received 6 of part number ............ for our stock" Meanwhile we wait, and wait, and wait. Waited on an engine that was ordered back in October, finally found a dealer in California that showed six in stock. I called, yes we have six in stock. Ordered, let warranty pay the freight.

We have purchased three engines from the same wholesale GM Dealer in the last few months. Yes, you speak the gospel.

Must have been from Suburban, GM feeds them with a rather large silver spoon.

Indeed. Since the General wont fedex on a SPAC case, customer needs their truck fixed.
We waited 3+ months for a Yukon 6.2,installed it,it spun a bearing first week customer had it back. Guess what,it's on b/o again.
