I've sent back wheels without the box and gotten core credit... Not that particular part#, but I have received core credits without the boxes.

Per the P&P manual, "select wheels" can be returned without the box as long as the peel and stick sticker is affixed to the wheel.

In order for Dealers to receive core credit, the core must be returned in the original package (with the
exception of catalytic converters, fascias, or bumper covers, and select wheels; note: peel-off proof
of purchase label required for fascias, bumper covers, and select wheels) of the replacement unit
purchased from General Motors.

Who knows which wheels are "select".

Sounds like something the General would do. Nope that's not one of the "select" wheels.... You chose poorly!
