Painted fender doesn't fit

Our body shop painted a fender and bolted it on. They can not get it to line up at the grille and headlamp no matter what they do. Anyone ever make a claim after a part was painted? Not sure it will fly.

Leave it on the repair order as a part warranty failure. They should be able to get paint and time as well.

I had to do a claim on a rear liftgate that would not fit properly after our body shop had already painted it and the claim paid. I made sure I had a lot of photos of the problem fit areas and GM requested the
additional documentation showing the reason for the claim. I got all my ducks in a row before submitting the claim and the photos help document why we were filing a parts warranty claim.
