GM Dexcool Coolant gallon vs drum pricing

I purchase Dexcool in 55 gallon drums (88864314) and sell by the gallon (12378390) The pricing use to work out, now it doesn't.

Each drum is $516.92 each, divide by 55 and is $9.40/gallon. GM cost on the actual gallon part # 12378390 is $8.49 each. I now lose $50 on each drum doing it this way. I cannot change my cost to $9.40 in my DMS because it will jack up my warranty pricing when we sell the gallon.

The way our shop is setup the coolant is pumped out like OIL through the reels. Otherwise I would order coolant by the cases.

Has anyone ran into this before and can offer a solution?

Thanks!

the easiest way would be to make a new part number with the new cost and list for example 12378390B/88864314B the B to signify its bulk. With this your able to put it in your bulk fluid source as well.

Also side note - I ran the bulk number through EPIC and its been removed?

Thanks Tbizkit for the suggestion. If I bill out the new part # 12378390B with the higher cost $9.40 on a warranty repair order, wont the warranty claim get rejected because it's charged out for too much?

Also, I ran the 88864314 # again and it pulls up in Global. Check out the attachment screenshot.
