What are you using in place of 19370813 plastic adhesion promoter? The parts catalog states must use this when replacing a plastic oil pan. Problem is, it's a direct ship item and we all know how slow direct ship is. Put in an order on 11-15-22 it still has not shipped. My thoughts are plastic adhesion promoter is plastic adhesion promoter but I am old school

Old school. LOL, General Manager just told me I was old school a few weeks ago. Too bad these young kids do not understand those were the good days. Respect is gone.

The funny thing is, who in their right mind would use plastic for an oil pan? One time use, warps after removal and used pans are popping up on e-bay, take a look, they are warped to no end. Maybe if we dropped them into boiling water and strap down on a metal table they would flatten out.

Had to pick one up from the closest dealer to me a few weeks ago. Dealership didn't even know they had it at first they found it somewhere in their office as it sat there for a year or two haha.

Apparently this is the only promoter that can be used on that oil pan so you'll have to wait until you have it to complete the job properly. We charged out the entire thing as well hopefully the claim won't reject but it doesn't specify how to charge it out...

12713653 L3B engine, leaking like the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dam. If I could post images from the used pans on e-bay......it's worth a good chuckle.

It finally came in, had to get our DMA involved. He was not happy about the e-mail I sent stating "Somebody at the supplier needs to get off their butt and ship this order", :D :D :D :D :D :D The dealer in North Carolina whom shows 32 cans, after talking to him it's actually 32 ounces. Billed on the repair order as 2 or 2 ounces. Has to be receipted in as such, change the cost etc. Did the claim go through for the entire can?

THE MSDS SHOWS IT HAS 90% -100% ISOPROPANOL(ORGANIC ALCOHOL) AND 1-5% TITANIUM TETRABUTANOLATE(ADHESION PROMOTER) IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE YOU CLEAN THE PAN WITH SOME ALCOHOL AND YOU WILL BE GOOD. I DONT THINK ANYONE OTHER THAN THE DEALER WILL EVER USE THIS. WHY CANT 19368179 ADHESION PROMTER BE USED ? IT IS A HELL OF A LOT CHEAPER.
