Good afternoon. I am currently a Parts and Service manager for a Chrysler dealer, but recently "volunteered" to help with our GM store. I'm sure this has been asked, but how do I start the monthly RIM return? The former parts manager left and didn't bother to show his team much of anything. I've looked it the Center of Learning on Global, and I don't really see anything would be of much help.
You have to go to the RIM page. Under "Order/Return" click on Manage RIM returns. Under Obsolescence Protection click on Obsolescence Protection Query. Click on Automatically Approved and change to Created and click on it. Then search. If a return is available it will show up. Depending on the day your return shows up, ours is usually the 20th or 21st. If it's not there keep checking. If you were PASE compliant last month it will show up. When you see it approve it.

They don't want you to return RIM parts. If you don't approve I think by the second time it's put there it's yours.
