Need BPMV for 05 SILV3500

Have a customer that bought a used 3500 from us and a day later has an issue with the BPMV. PN by VIN is 15904564, which is discontinued, not available through anything online I can find, and the aftermarket doesn't carry as far as I can tell. I tried car-part, it shows only non-interchange application. I find that idea confusing, maybe I'm just not understanding what is going on there? It seems like if it doesn't interchange, it isn't the same part, and likely would not work? Correct me if I am misunderstanding.
Does anyone have any creative solutions for this? Thanks in advance.

THIS IS WHY THE NEW DEALERS SHOULD NOT SELL CARS THAT ARE OVER 10 YEARS OLD. LET THE MOM & POP SHOPS DEAL WITH THAT HEADACHE.
