Have you all gotten into buying a new forklift to satisfy the sales of EV vehicles? I now my current one would not be compliant with what GM wants....

for the two of you that ordered these, did your area rep tell you we had to go with any specific make and model to be complaint for the EV batteries or we can just select who we want?

I believe you can get whatever you want, as long as you meet the minimum specifications.

However, GM has already changed the specifications at least once since we purchased ours. We are not alone in having to purchase another.

GM keeps changing the EV specs. We now have a 3 phase EV charger that is no longer compliant. Sure it will continue to charge but we have to purchase at least two more chargers. We currently have two installed and one we never installed at all. About $100k - $150k for the charger stuff.

Oh yea, due to GM mistakes we have had two EVs to sell in the last year and a half.

My GM told me we are $150k deep, chargers here but not installed, forklift ordered, not arrived, and havent had a new EV on the lot, or even sold for that matter.

He is pretty upset

According to our service manager we have a contract with a third part forklift company to have whenever we need them.

Apparently this is acceptable as long as there is a signed contract?

Not sure if any of you have read the fine print or looked into this as another option?

We purchased a used one from Equipment Depot in PA and spent about $28,000.00. Had just over 4000 hours on it. Seemed to be out of a Home Depot warehouse, repainted and nice shape.
