CDK msq help

CDK msq help

Postby Stevenspeaking » Wed Dec 06, 2023 9:35 pm

what is happening...
SOR for qty 2 on part that has msq 4
system shows 2 on order and we have to manually receive the other 2 or adjust manually adjust the order before it arrives.
If we change setting in MSDA, cdk creates 2 separate lines of QTY 2 each which then mopar ships us a total of 8

Question is there a way to set the system to update the on order QTY to the msq of 4 on the single line.
In PM pack qty and multiple qty both show 4
What might I have missed?

If you order 2 on a Special Order (customer only wants 2, and your on hand is zero), yes, you must manually adjust your on order quantity to "4" (Function PO). When you receipt the 4 on the order, 2 will go to the SOR, the other 2 will go to stock. At least, that's the way I've always had to do it.

I found the solution. I tried remembering how I did thing many years ago...

IRE was not a thing back then, way back I used PO to build the order.

In MSDA set this line to N
PERMIT ORDERS OUTSIDE OF PAC/MULTIPLE QUAN. (Y/N).....N ?

Then build the customer order in function PO (not IRE)
edit 12/7/2023: In function PO promt "ODATE OT [ONUMB]" Order type has to be "N" to work
It will warn you about MSQ and increase the single line to pack QTY.

No more manual adjusting in RA for MSQ's
