Have a question more like a poll really

If you are part of a dealer club meeting board How many meetings a year to host , how are you financially running ? Meaning are charging members ? Vendors ? OEM Reps ? Presenters ? etc.....

If so what type tiers for support contributions are you charging to the outside vendors , reps , etc...? Are you charging dealers per meeting or yearly charge to be a member ?

I am part of a Kia parts and service club for my region. We collect dues annually, and meet 3 to 4 times a year. Usually, our OEM rep attends these meetings and goes over programs and future issues. Then, dealers discuss problems and solutions.

Some years, the money is just allocated to lunch. One year, we allocated our money towards pitching a tech training center. Another year, we hired a training company for advisors. We don't invite vendors to see us. This club is 13 Kia dealers.

I have never seen a club in my region for GM.

What so you guys charge for your meting attendees ? We are trying to put something together and work out the monies . From what we have seen from other groups around , some clubs are like 25-50 per meeting , some charge a flat 500 a year

We charge each dealer a flat 250/year, though we may go up this coming year. The dealers don't mind paying it because there is tangible evidence that these meetings are beneficial to the bottomlines.

Do you get any financial support from the OEM and the vendors as well ? We have seen from OEM reps are allowed to contribute 50 per meeting which helps big time as well .

I know we don't currently get any outside sources of income including the manufacturer. However, it couldn't hurt to ask your rep if you have a few stores in your district that want a little help with the startup. All kind of depends on how good your rep/manufacturer is.

General Motors Northeast Region (central PA) $35/person

GM has area reps (yes they pay too) at the meeting as well has a guess speaker or 2 (yes they pay too) on current situations. Even Warranty!

Fill time with sales people willing to make a pitch (Hunter, Ad Builders & Tire Stores).

Lastly, the end of the meeting is a Q & A as well as be on the look out type stuff. MOST BENEFICIAL. We share stories, findings & other helpful advise from dealership to dealership.

Meet every other month, 3rd Tuesday of the month (but Skip July, due to too many vacations).

OEM Reps always pay with their company card.
