Obsolete medium duty parts

Obsolete medium duty parts

Postby AlanHomes » Wed Mar 06, 2024 7:34 pm

Are there any reliable sources for medium duty parts. 2009 C5500 1GBJ5C1929F411144 15074990 and 15074989 transmission mounts. All obsolete of course. Called every truck shop I know, they either laughed or hung up. Called a few places out West, they laughed or hung up. GM either needs to get into the medium duty business or get out of it.

Our local Freightliner shop can cross reference the engine mounts and have them in a few days. The transmission mounts are another story, nobody has them. Have called LKQ Heavy Duty, Lomoca in Canada, Westside, Frontier, Vander Haggs, Active Truck,

well... it was just a thought... we were on a trip and stopped in dodge city kansas last year.. having a few adult beverages at a distillery there.. the parts manager of the freightliner store and one of his parts suppliers were there also.. that heavy duty business is way different ..we talked for a few hours..
