GM warranty scrap report

Global Connect
Global Warranty Management
Under analyze warranty select search transactions.
Select advanced search
Select transaction accepted
Select custom to input a date range
Scroll down that page until you see ( O Parts) on the left, click on the O so Parts is selected.
Scroll down and click on search.
Another window will pop up
Once it shows completed, click on hyperlinked word completed
Another window will pop up, click on export to excel.
Another window pops up, again click on completed.
Now your excel file will download.
Now you can open the file an select which columns that you want to look at.
First of all, I delete columns A-F, then columns C-L, and finally columns D-CQ.
I then expand column D for more of the correction description so I have an idea of what parts can be scrapped.
I then sort the RO column from smallest to largest #
Then I print the file and go clean out the bins.

This is not perfect, as I find some paid RO’s with no part numbers in the casual part column.

every part that we retain in out warranty bin gets recorded on a form we created. (the form just has ro # on it 1-0 last number of ro. every week or so someone takes the form to the computer and checks to see if it was paid for and then we scrap. its an easy and simple process even a caveman can do it .i mean our parts driver.
