gm SPRINT damage claim

I keep trying to submit a damage claim for a part that came in damaged. I run it through the dialogue, for a damage claim with part/package same location damage. I used the order number for both the GM order line and the shipment #. It keeps rejecting and for some reason shows up as a shortage claim, and asks that I run it as a damage claim. Is there something I'm missing?

I have run into this before. Call your local warehouse liaison and ask for help, my issue was the order number changed with the sprint closing. Resubmitted with the new order number and it sailed right thru. Hope it helps.

Try entering you claim this way.
Did you know you can file claims or exceptions on your shipments from other dealers.

It is somewhat tricky ….but here are a few things to remember.

Wait for your GM Invoice
Use the number that follows the DS on your invoice as both the shipment & order number when PWB calls for it
Do not search for shipment (Workbench will not find one)
Use DS as your ship facility
ALWAYS add carrier & tracking number in notes
Remember to add that it is a SPRINT order in your notes
