GM headlamp core

Good morning, has anybody ever ran in to not having a core to return. We had a car and the headlamp was never recovered from the accident scene. Before I bill the body shop for the core, I sent the empty box and hoped for the best. Just wondering if anybody ran into this before and received credit sending back an empty box.

So, we've had this happen in the past. It's a little shady , but GM essentially doesn't care if it wasn't available to be returned to you. So our Body Shop Manager keeps a stash of headlights, taillights, etc. He will smash one up and put it in the box. We send it and it gets paid. Hope this helps.

We've sent unrecognizable shards, swept up from a body shop floor, and got paid.
