Anyone else feel OEC is a shady business partner who intentionally sells and pushes BS programs for huge $$ and then make it almost impossible to cancel ?

After much time muddling the waters with them i have found out there is NO way for any OEC customer to be able to easily find out what programs your signed up for , what your paying for , what the contract terms are and when they expire . There is no place on the site that you can easily find any of this information , even worse when you call support it takes several minutes of answer questions like " Why do you need that information , what exact program are you questioning ? etc... " Until they finally tell you the ONLY way to find out is send an email to AR -- oeconnection dot com or AccountsReceivable -- oeconnection dot com . Then you will get a list of the programs you have and what you pay for ................ Mostly , there are third party programs that MIGHT be associated with them that you have to ask for explicitly . GOD for bid you miss an " auto renewal " date even by 1 hour your locked into another 1 year .

Oh yes, it's awful. They need 30 days written notice to cancel. Who should you send that to? You don't know, they don't know, and by the way we are gonna update your inventory two times a day and tell you who's parts are actually available for another 100 bucks a month! oh btw never trust the "oh available" section it's never right.

I am not a fan of the OEC offerings beyond the locator, and it is ridiculous how expensive it has become. Multiply out those fees over a year and then multiply by the amount of GM dealerships and I really begin to question the speed and stability of their products.

About 15 years ago when the dealership I worked for went thru a downsizing, I discovered that there is not only a 30 day advance notice, there is a date window to submit that 30 day notice within, or you are then bound to ANOTHER year of that "product". In my case it was Collision Link.

Your mileage may vary...

One way to eliminate the ‘Extra’ Mid-Day update is to simply receipt your daily RIM order and even your daily CSO order at the end of the day that the orders have been written. It’s easy enough to see what is shipping out of your facing PDC through PWB. You can also receipt any back order releases from your PDC that show written to PDC from daily answer back info.

If your short something, back the OH out and repost the order until part arrives or you file claim.

You’ll have to verify what time of day they are capturing your inventory. It used to be after midnight, but I’ve noticed they are now downloading around 5:20 EST for us.

I’ve bitched at them on several occasions and said that they should have a tiered system for different sized dealers. Wholesale vs retail, etc. With all the ‘Big Dogs’ handling all the body shops utilizing CollisionLink, in need of that ‘feature’, it diminishes the necessity for smaller dealers.

It’s a racket.
Just my 2 cents
