Corvette recall 4260768

We did this recall on a 2008 Corvette. The document states to replace the intermediate pipe with one with "new underfloor converters". The vehicle was built with just a plain pipe from the factory. The problem is that I was charged for a core on the new pipe and the pipe coming off does not have cats to return for credit. The recall has been around for ten years and GM knows there is nothing to return. No one in GM can tell me what to do to get the core credit. Can someone inform me?

I have called every number I have available with no answer. The parts rep and service rep cannot get me an answer either.

Did that GM did not pay for the core. Maybe it was done wrong by the warranty admin?

You simply need to return the pipe you took off the car as a core. They will pay you the $400 core credit.
