I often wonder whom is thinking this up. Part wrote to Charlotte NC, more or less directly South of us, five or six hours. Ideally with all the dealers along the I-81 corridor a truck would run North dropping off parts but that is reasonable thinking. I always assumed it went up to the Martinsburg W VA warehouse only to eventually come back down.
Tracked it this morning, trip plan is take it to the Michigan cross dock, then back down to Martinsburg. I cannot make this stuff up

Same for us in the Cincinnati area with parts from Memphis (092). Part ships out of Memphis, drives right past Cincinnati (007) on it's way to the Michigan cross dock, then gets sorted and sent back down to Cincinnati and then to us.

we are in amarillo tx... we used to get parts from ft worth 041.. now we get parts from denver 022..

we are half way between ft worth and denver.. part drive right past us on the way..

The Michigan cross dock is horrible. We get parts sooner from out of state, than those in the state of Michigan due to the cross dock.

I'm 2 hours closer to Charlotte than my facing PDC in Jackson, MS. Makes so much sense.

Charlotte is our local pdc, and we cant even get stuff they have next day.
