2005 GM Parts 1st and Ten Grow National Promotion

Has anyone noted before that the new promotion for GM 2005 is based on incremental growth from the previous year? All rebate calculations will only be calculated from the incremental growth from 2004 same month. REF GMP04-224. If my calculations are correct it would mean that a dealer would have to do approximately 15 to 20 percent more in purchases from the previous year to obtain the same money that they would have last year. If I am wrong please let me know, but if I'm not this would mean a lot of purchasing decisions might change based on this info. The other thing to note is that our APMs have neglected to tell us this in our meetings, so if you do not follow the programs very closely you will be giving up a lot of money.
