What do all of you think about doing business
with outside vendors??

Please specify what type of outside vender you're refering to. What type of service are you considering? I believe we all use outside venders for various services (waste disposal, uniforms, sublet repairs, etc.)

It depends on what vendors are being discussed. We do a lot of business with outside vendors that are reputable and enjoyable to do business with. If the manufacturer has the part/supply available I prefer to do business through them and not use outside suppliers, not always possible to be competitive! If we are talking about the "other" vendors that bombard me with phone calls and offers of free items if I just purchase this "small" order at a great price I don't have a use for them in the world! I have been offered everything over the years from a .357 handgun to porno flicks and everything in between and believe that if they have a good product at a fair price they will sell it without the gimmicks. I have found this type of vendor to be rude, arrogant and unable to accept no for an answer. Someone must be buying though because the phone calls come in year after year, hopefully some day these guys will learn not to dial my number anyway!

BACK TO OUTSIDE VENDORS ?
SALESMEN CALL ALL THE TIME TO TRY TO SELL
PARTS,AND MAKE A LIVING JUST LIKE WE ARE,SELLING CARS ONE PART AT A TIME.
IT'S OUR JOB TO BUY PARTS,RIGHT???
IF A SALESMAN OFFERS ME SOMETHING ON THE SIDE
AND SAVES ME MONEY IDON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITHN IT AT ALL. SINCE YOU CAN REQUEST CERTIFICATES FOR THE SHOP,SNAP-ON OR A GRILL
FOR THE GUY'S IN THE SHOP AND SAVE THE DP MONEY,EVERYBODY WINS AND YOU GET THAT PESKY
SALES GUY TO QUIT CALLING ALL THE TIME.
I PICK OUT MY WORST VENDOR AND DROP HIM/HER
AND A LEAST GIVE THE NEW GUY A SHOT!!!
SOME OF THESE GUY'S ARE TOTALLY FUNNY,BUTTHE RUDE ONES GET THE HOOK !!!!
