I HAVE HEARD THAT AMERICAN HONDA HAS A FEW PILOT DEALERS ON THE WEST COAST ON DAILY STOCK ORDERS.I AM INTERESTED ON ANY FEED BACK ON THIS PROGRAM AND IF YOU LOSE ANY OF YOUR SSO BENEFITS. HOW HAS THIS EFFECTED YOUR DAILY ORDERS ?

Hi Racer,

I guess I am the most qualified to answer this since we are working with the Pilot dealers for American Honda in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

First off, the pilot is NOT daily stock orders. It is twice a week stock orders. The SSO and RSA are only enhanced if the parts manager takes advantage of ordering parts in expanded width on the twice a week stock orders.

But, to answer your question, it doesn't affect the SSO negatively in any manner.

I have been a Honda/Acura parts manager for 15 years, and it is about time that Honda "step up to the plate" and offer the level of service we need. Toyota has been offering this for some time now. It will only help us to serve our customers better, and help those dealers with an obsolescence problem to service the customer without sacrificing their SRA dollars. Honda is a great company, but they are really behind the times in this area. What is the status of the pilot? Bruce
