Hi Jagman,

Stockorder performance is the ratio of what your purchasing for stock replenishment to total purchases. If your stockorder perfromance is 50 percent, then you can deduce with reasonable certainty that the balance of your purchases were emergency or some type other than stock. On the surface his would indicate that you are only supplying half of the customer demands from stock which in turn could suggest a problem with phase-in.

Do you purchase parts for stock from sources other than the OE supplier? If so, and its a significant amount but not receipted as a stock type order this could skew the numbers.

I would suggest a complete examination of your inventory control setups and your ordering methods and procedures.

If you would like to discuss this in further detail feel free to contact me at (570) 824-1528 or e-mail me at gss83@aol.com.

Jagman - To echo Gary's reply, not only look at your Phase-In criteria, take a look at your settings for Day's Supply. Are you running out of stocking parts and buying them from the other dealers? Or ordering from the depot on a daily order? Also, are Lost Sales being posted correctly?

Lastly, please make sure that when you post in your orders that you are using the correct order posting codes.

Good Luck,
