GM Picking Tags

Hi Guy's,
Can any of you GM Parts Managers remember how to set up the GM picking tag so that the customer's name shows on it? I have done this before but it was a long time ago and I have forgotten how. Thanks, Mike

What computer system does your store use?
ADP, R&R
If you can edit the bin field, input the customer name in that field. It shows up as customer bin location on the picking ticket. Most systems default to SOP or SP-ORD so changing each part numbers bin location would waste more time than you will save. It will also cause you to have a ton of preprint sheets at inventory time. On the packing slip it should print your customers name and other info in the note field above or below the part number on the GM packing slip depending on which PDC shipped that line.

If you DSP is ADP, the function is FNF - FORMAT DTR NOTES FLD

If you are on an R&R system, use program 2334, Pick Ticket Format. When you enter the program it will prompt you if you want to display the customer information in the header. Just answer it yes.

Since we deliver the parts to the tech, does anyone know how to get the techs number or name on the pick ticket? We are on R&R.
