IF YOU ARE A HONDA DEALER YOU CAN USE THE LAST NUMBER OF THE HONDA CODE AS THE ASSIGNED LOCATION.SETTING UP 10 BIN NUMBERED 0 THRU 9 AND A LOCATION FOR BULK ITEMS.THIS KEEPS A BALANCE IN THE BINS AND ALSO MAKES IT VERY EASY TO LOCATE PARTS WHEN THERE IS MORE THAN 1 IN A SPO LOCATION.

i am a assist parts manager at a chrysler dealer. we have reatail customers to prepay before ordering sp parts. our ro cash customers pay for the parts and we put most of the ro's on parts hold. we use adp. every sop part has a label placed on it the day we post it to inventory. the label contains-cust name-part-no, and bin location. if part does not have bin location, it is placed in sp bins by part number for 15 days. then counterman pulls all sp parts and if cost is above $50 dollars, we send it back to pdc. service advisors have to approve sop orders. this process has help but not cured the problem! you can make an english statement to put info on lables.
