lost sales are a problem here because i have 10 techs on the floor 6 days a week.
when we price out parts to the techs we don't
see the work order again unless the customer buys something.

any ideas?

ALL PARTS NOT IN STOCK SHOULD RECIVE A LOST SALE.EVEN THAT 1980 POS IF THE PART IS SOURCED CORRECTLY IT WONT MATTER.YOU CANT STOCK IT IF IT DOESNT QUALIFY FOR STOCK AND LOST SALES ARE THE FASTEST WAY TO QUALIFY A PART.

if you dont have it to sell it is a lost sale. have the counterman write down the potential lost sales and enter them at the end of the day.
make it part of their job description...bonus...commision
they need to do it to have an efficient inventory
