We are a dual Ford/Chrysler dealer that recently lost it's entire parts staff. The parts manager of 19 years quit and took his key personnel and most of our large wholesale business to a competeing dealer. Obviously, this has been a tough time for us. We were able to hire a young parts manager with Chrysler experience, unfortunately he has no Ford experience. The rest of the staff is also inexperienced and we can't really send the manager away to training for two weeks. Does anyone know of any parts experts or consultants we could bring in to train our parts staff? Any other suggestions would be gladly accepted.

Eric,

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Let me suggest that MNI (Mike Nicholes Inc.) would be the best company to come in and do some one on one training. Mike is an expert guest right now.

Ford has ADMI training but it is very expensive and I am afraid that your new parts manager would go comatose if you put him through such extensive training at this point.

If you looking for some online management and dialup work to help out, go to www.partsedge.com for some other help. I don't want to turn this into an advertisement but there is immediate help if you need it!

Thanks,

Thanks for the input Chuck. That's good information. I have checked with Ford and they did recommend ADMI but I also thought it was focused more on the details than the basics. I need to stop the hemorage! I would like to contact Mike, how do I get in touch with him?
