I have turned off matrix pricing by resourcing my sources. I have placed all fast-moving and competitive items in a separate source in order to do cost-average pricing and/or cost + pricing.
With Nissan, their list prices are too far out of line in profit margin consistency. These are items like filters, batteries, shock/struts, timing belts, starters/alternators, brake pads & shoes, etc.
Matrix pricing is still in effect for body parts and slower moving mechanical parts which are only available through a dealership.
