Our $13.95 oil change has caused us more problems than anything. We are booked to the max with stupid oil changes. They were intended to help with upsells. But when you you are pounding them out you have no time scheduled to install the parts that you would upsell. This program has our schedule booked out for a month. So that good head gasket job has to wait a month to get done to get oil changes out the door. Its pretty rediculous.

Seems to me that every time a cheap oil change is advertised the only ones who come in are the cheap skates who will only buy the oil change. You could have the best price in town on services their car needs and they still won't buy anything. All these people do is look thru the paper looking for deals. If you upsell one of twenty you are lucky. Our regular oil change is $27.95 for a 6 or 7 quart change with bulk oil.

just a thought, but why not increase the price of oil and decrease the price of the oil filter?

We also do the stupid lifetime oil changes at cost...but bump the oil cost a little.
