pay for outside salesperson

I'm thinking of put an outside saleperson on payroll to pickup business that our shop has lost. Wondering if anyone has a pay plan for this poisition.

I have 3 outside sales reps. They have their own business and work as indenpendent contractors. They do represent several dealers, but only 1 of each make. I had "in house" reps and it was too expensive. It costs me approx $1800 a month for all 3. Its also more effective.
