ADP Patch for AP/NS program conflict

ADP Patch for AP/NS program conflict

Since the early 70's ADP has had a serious conflict between the requirements of phase-in and Non Stock retention of part numbers. In 2003 ADP's subsidiary, CarInk made a patch that fixes a serious flaw in ADP's logic. The patch is called CI-MSAP and is obtained directly from CarInc, an ADP subsidiary company. This is long over due, even though it has been out since September 2003. It is akin to making a customer pay for a warranty repair, but in this case the 'fix' is so badly needed, it should be purchased so that the conflict between using a tight phase out, such as less than one sale (no sales) in six months, does not drop the Nonstock parts at six months no sale on them, but allows the continued retention of the NS parts in the system until they qualify or, after 60 months, have no history and drop. My suggestion is that every ADP user should get the patch. My recommendation to ADP is to give the patch to the customers since it fixes a flaw that should never have been there in the first place.
