how many dollars in dealer cost do you have in inventory right now?how many dollars do you have over 6 months with no sale?do you think you should have to use your return dollars to return parts the nhsta has mandated the manufactures to recall?why should you use your return dollars to return the manufactures problems back to them with your return money.e-mail me sc9783@yahoo.com

I DON'T use my reserve to return unused campaign parts. GM has a provision in the P&P manual outlining the return procedure where it doesn't affect your reserves. I can get you chapter and verse if you can't find it.

You do have to do a MANUAL 659, and have your APM sign off on it, and you have to identify the campaign with each part. I returned $2100 this spring, and plan to do this return about every 6 months to keep my CAMP bin clean.

Thanks Richard. I wonder how many other parts managers like me grabbed the P&P and found what you referred to (Section IV, Page 33).

Ford has a similar program, but with time limits as to program expiration. It'n not easy to deal with, but if you put recall/onp parts in a seperate source and add the campaign number in the remarks field it becomes much easier to save your PIPP money for other things.
