Chrysler Parts Ordering
Posted: Tue Apr 16, 2002 10:34 amI understand Chrysler is implementing a new Parts Ordering system..Diamond Star.or something akin to that name. Is anyone familiar with it..if so..How does it work?

I just had lunch today with a well establish Chrysler District Parts Manager. I showed him your email and asked if DaimlerChrysler had anything in the offing....
DaimlerChrysler does have Depot 5300, which is a suggested ordering program that interfaces with your DMS system. This is the only type of program that both he and I were aware of.
DaimlerChrysler is going to a web based DCS program as of the end of the year, but basically from what I have heard, it just means you will not have the Dial hardware at the dealership other than to connect to the DaimlerChrysler website to place orders and claims as you normally do so today.
If I hear of anything else, I will post it here.
