All engines returned to the General Motors' WPC facility are now considered or flagged as hazardous.

Does anyone have a resource for the UNID, MSDS, and the Hazardous Class for a used engine ??

I have an inquiry in the works with the WPC and my DMA...

The gm website has nothing that I could find using their searchengine, also tried bing and google... nothing.

Help please !!

~gt may just tell them to "be careful, GM says it is hazardous"

In SI, reference document 2834396 or 99-00-89-019K. Section 5 is returning Hazmat parts to the WPC.

I don't see a reference to a used engine being hazmat. Where did you come up with your information?

Document ID 5060650 says if drained, plugged, taped, bagged, bolted, strapped to the supporting pallet and covered with the appropriate lid will NOT require any additional or special hazardous material packaging or labels unless shipped by aircraft or shipped in Canada.
