RIM has ordered part number(s) listed in the attached file, more than two consecutive days. There are several reasons why this may have happened. Please read the information below and follow the instructions for the scenario for your part number.
1. The part has actually sold several days in a row and RIM is functioning correctly. No action needed.
2. If your DSP is ADP, the part(s) may be on your Delete or Memo status, please look at these parts in your ADP system.
3. RIM is repeatedly ordering the part(s) and they are cancelling. According to the cancel message you need to contact the powertrain center at 1-866-654-7654 to order these parts.
4. You may have prematurely superseded a part or have incorrect supersession information loaded in your DMS. Please ensure your supersession information matches that loaded in the RIM application.
5. Confirm and Cancel all excess orders and back orders with GM and in your in house system.
If you have any questions, please call us.

#4 is my alltime favorite, "You may have prematurely superseded a part", well NOOOOO actually I did NOT! RIM ordered part number 19209820 (perpetual BO) as GM ships part number 12597521. and yes they have different pricing. So now you must go in and "exclude" part number 19209820 which for some unknown period of time will count against you compliance while waiting for GM Parts and RIM to get their head out and actually TALK to each other.
Text of LOOONG elaborate phone call..... "We do not have 19209820 any longer, we are shipping 12597521.
Honest to god it took me way, way longer to type that out than it would to make the call :x

I hate it when that happens. RIM always blames me or ADP. The part number is superseded everywhere and RIM still orders the old number even when perm. deleted. I have sent several requests asking them to repair this flaw but of course nothing is GM's fault anymore.

It is because someone at GM did not update the stock exhaust field.
The system they have in place will always try to order the old number unless they put a stock exhaust on it (which they regularly do not)

I just leave one showing on order for the old number, then RIM won't reorder it or the new number, so I have to manually order it when needed until it is fixed. RIM, what a great system

I always exclude the old part number then after you sell the new # you will have a new proposal for the new part #.
