From PDC 051------

Parts Managers,

All PDCs are expiring system issues again.

The IT team has been made aware of an IMS overflow issue is currently working on solution.

It is my understanding that when the placement of an order has been attempted, error messages are reporting MQ Exceptions. Also when an attempt has been made to resubmit the orders there is a duplicate order message. MQ is the conduit between the DMS and or parts WB and the mainframe. When the mainframe becomes too full it won’t accept more.

In any case, until IT has been able to correct the issue please run an order status inquiry to verify whether your order has been accepted.

Please be sure to verify order status before reordering.

If you make an attempt to reorder be sure to use the same control number to prevent duplications.

OK, that's just plain screwed up. The system came back up enough for me to try and send it again but got the duplicate order message. So I backed off and kept checking answebacks and order status. Nothing ever showed up. I waited an hour, checked again, nothing, called SPAC, they saw no order. System came back up where I could see other orders but not my daily. Put order in again using different control # and it went right through. Did this while I was speaking to SPAC and he saw it come right up. But could still not see my previous order

any bets I get 2 orders tomorrow?

Chances are that you will receive duplicate order since you resubmitted same order under a different control number. Everything you shared above is exactly what I did last friday when the system was down. Submitted order....no answerback showing up...waited 2 hours and still no answer back....resent using different control number and wala....saturday morning I had 2 orders show up...1 under my original control number and the 2nd was the same order but under the other control number i used in place of it.
