Parts Messages

Does anyone know why changes in the parts ordering process only shows up in service's messages on DealerWorld? For example, my service manager came to me Wed and said, "The new policy for ordering ignition switches should help." Seems to me GM should send changes to the damn parts ordering process to parts messages.

Definitely agreed; the recall Webex meeting announcement (and the reminder to dial in early) was listed in Parts only, not Service. It's like a Clown Car Parade!
On that note, have your IT guy (partner Security Coordinator) assign you all fixed ops access, so you get all appropriate messages. I'm set up for ALL jobs so I get Sales promotion stuff and Dealer Admin stuff too. I get alot of messages I don't need, but you pick up alot of info and more aware what's going on around the dealership.
